Roger and Deborah, after a 24 year long relationship, were (finally) married July 27, 1996. Together with 100 friends and relatives, at La Hacienda Restaurant in Los Gatos, California. The Matron-of-Honour was Deborah's longtime friend, Laura Kent (Ayala). With Deborah's daughters Shannon, Nicole and Amber as bridesmaids and flower girl. Best man was Roger's brother Jeff, and groomsmans son-in-law-to-be Michael, sons Andreas, Alexander and Bryan. Giving away the Bride was her father, Bruce Hill. In attendence were Deborah's mother Elaine, and Roger's parents and step-parents, Floyd and Donna Dunn, Michael and Joyce Rathbone. Performing the ceremony was Oscar Pitcock. A reception followed the ceremony and there was nothing that occured that would make it on 'Funniest Home Movies' TV show. Roger and Deborah went from the reception directly to honeymoon for 6 days in the Big Sur / Monterey Areas of California's central coast.
